About Me…

Hi, my name is Stephen Ryan. Welcome to my website and thank you for dropping by. I am an Irish photographer based in Co. Tipperary. 

I am a trained lifeguard and scuba diver; water and adventure sports are part of my DNA. I have been taking photographs of this awesome hobby for as long as I can remember and officially manage the photoshoots for BABS Sub Aqua Club.

I have always had an interest in photography but the 2020 lockdown really spurred me to want to capture more of life’s moments. I had friends having new babies but unable to get professional photos taken, family who didn’t capture the last time they were all together, and like all of us I was getting out for more walks and noticing even more beauty this island has to offer. 

There are so many things about working as a photographer that I love, but a huge bonus is being able to combine my love of photography, people and adventure. I enjoy the freedom and beauty of landscape photography but am just as happy spending a few hours with a family capturing their special moments. I am a very easy-going guy and my style reflects this, I will not ask you to hold a pose for hours but like to let my client’s personality guide the day. My goal is to capture a shoot as it unfolds naturally, whilst making sure I get those important shots.
